Discomfort often occurs when someone works in the same position for most of the workday. Short stretch breaks performed throughout the day can help prevent and reduce this discomfort.

Suggested Stretches: This page has some stretches that you can perform before, during or after work, especially when doing lifting and other strenuous tasks.

90 Second Exercise Break: Here are some suggested stretches that you can perform at your workstation.

Total Body Stretches: These stretches are provided by the Live for Life® Wellness Program at Duke.

Postural Awareness: This information will help you become more aware of the postures you use throughout the day. Often, being aware of your posture can encourage you to avoid poor postures.
