| DRDL FACILITIES |
The Duke Radiation Dosimetry Laboratory (DRDL) has access to state of the art facilities and equipment that enables researchers to evaluate radiation dose to patients, small animals and biological materials such as cell cultures in a variety of settings. Clinical radiographic and CT facilities are available, as well as radionuclide and x-ray based irradiators and accelerators, for use in producing radiation fields of interest to physicians and radiobiologists. In addition, the DRDL and the Duke Radiation Safety Division are equipped with modern radiation detection and measurement modalities, including anthropomorphic phantoms, ionization chambers, sodium iodide detectors, thermoluminescence dosimeters and MOSFET detectors. Data analysis and Monte Carlo simulation software is also available. Click on the links below to view detailed lists of facilities and equipment available to DRDL staff and affiliates.
