Laser Standard Operating Procedures On-line Template

Problems You May Encounter

Here are some problems you may encounter while using the Laser SOP Template, along with some suggested remedies.

I get the error message "This Laser SOP Document Page Not Properly Accessed", even though I went through the "Welcome" and "Select Laser System" pages properly.

You probably have "cookies" disabled in your Web Browser. This Template uses the HTTP Persistence of State Mechanism, which is implemented on most Web servers through "cookies". You must enable "cookies" in your Web Browser. For Netscape Navigator, go to "Edit" on the menu bar and click "Preferences...". Select the "Advanced" category. Select either the "Accept all cookies" or "Accept only cookies that get sent back to the originating server" option. For Internet Explorer, go to "View" on the menu bar and click "Internet Options...". Click on the "Advanced" tab, and scroll down to "Security/Cookies". Make sure "Accept all cookies" is selected.

I clicked the "Go To Save Button..." link and exited the program, but my changes weren't saved. What happened?

The "Go To Save Button..." link only provides a convenient way of getting to the actual "Save/Print" button at the bottom of the form. It does not actually save your changes. To save your changes, select the "Save" option button at bottom of the form and click the "Save/Print" button.

I notice that while I'm working on my document, changes are sneaking in that I'm not making. What's happening??

It is possible for two different users to edit the same document at the same time. Check with your colleagues to ascertain that this unlikely situation isn't occurring.
