IX. SEALED SOURCES

The Radiation Safety Officer shall ensure that leak tests and physical inventories are performed on those sealed
sources specified and at the intervals specified in the applicable radioactive material
license condition or applicable regulations.

The responsible Authorized User shall ensure that:
- the Radiation Safety Officer is notified prior to the acquisition, transfer, relocation, loss, destruction or disposal of any sealed source;
- all sealed sources under the Authorized User's control are secured against unauthorized access or removal;
- a complete inventory of all sealed sources under the Authorized User's control is maintained and kept available for inspection by Radiation Safety.
