STEP 1: Enter your Duke Unique ID and click to view a brief, informative video with tips on proper workstation set up.  Try to implement as much as possible from the video.

STEP 2: If you need additional assistance, click on this Rapid Office Strain Assessment (ROSA) link. Please also upload into ROSA a photo of you working at your desk.  As soon as you complete ROSA you will immediately receive a report with recommendations on the changes required to improve your workstation set up.  Print this report and share with your manager/supervisor. Your department is responsible for implementing the ROSA recommendations. Please note that you will not be contacted by Ergonomics.

STEP 3: If you continue to have problems and your work area has an Ergonomics Coach, please contact that person for assistance.  A list of coaches is available here:  Click here for a list of coaches.

STEP 4: If you have completed steps 1 and 2, implemented ALL changes, and your work area does not have a coach, you can contact us to request an ergonomics review of your ROSA report.  We will email any additional recommendations to you.

If you have implemented ALL of the recommended changes and are still experiencing pain or discomfort, there may be an underlying medical condition.  Please contact your healthcare provider for additional assistance.
