Laboratory Chemical Safety Summaries

The links below go to the Laboratory Chemical Safety Summaries, which were published in Prudent Practices in the Laboratory: Handling and Disposal of Chemicals by the National Research Council in 1995. You can download a PDF of the 2011 version of  Prudent Practices or link to its Table of Contents. (Note that the chemical safety summaries were not updated for the 2011 version of Prudent Practices.)

These 1995 summaries provide a good overview of physical and health hazards associated with laboratory use of the listed chemicals, as well as recommendations for storage, handling, and disposal. NOTE: Some of occupational exposure limits shown on the summaries have been updated since 1995. Please look at your Safety Data Sheet for up-to-date exposure limits.
