Matthew & Nicole

OESO is undergoing a reorganization to better serve our customers. Nicole Greeson, M.S., CIH, and Matthew Stiegel, Ph.D., have been announced as new Division Directors in OESO.

In our efforts to provide health and safety expertise to support the continually evolving research and healthcare environments within Duke University and Duke Health, the Occupational and Environmental Safety Office is pleased to announce organizational changes within the Office. First, a new Laboratory Safety Division has been created and will be directed by Matthew Stiegel, Ph.D., in support of employees working within the clinical and research laboratory environments. Second, Nicole Greeson, M.S., CIH, has become the new Director of the Occupational Hygiene and Safety Division, assuming duties previously performed by Gary Tencer, CIH, who will continue in his role as Assistant Director of OESO.

OESO is committed to providing a safe environment for the Duke Community while also providing the highest level of customer service possible; these changes will help us to continue achieving these goals while enhancing our ability to support the Institution more efficiently and effectively.
