Federal Insecticide Fungicide & Rodenticide Act (FIFRA)
The Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (FIFRA) requires EPA registration of all pesticides prior to their introduction into interstate commerce. The EPA classifies each pesticide as “general use”, “restricted use”, or both. Restricted use pesticides may be applied only by EPA certified applicators.
