Underground Storage Tanks
Duke University and Duke University Medical Center utilize a number are underground storage tanks to store petroleum products that are subject to regulation by the US Environmental Protection Agency (40 CFR 280) and the North Carolina Department of Environmental and Natural Resources (15A NCAC 2N). Environmental Programs developed a best management practices to aid Duke Personnel in achieving compliance with these requirements.
