Emergency Evacuation Plan (EEP)
- An EEP is an inclusive pdf document per building or unit and is formatted for compliance with the North Carolina Fire Code.
- Each plan contains 5 parts:
- Part I – General Fire Plan: same for all buildings with generalized information
- Part II – Fire and Life Safety System Components: specific safety information for each building
- Part III – Response to Fire Emergencies: evacuation plan for each building or unit
- Part IV – Maps: Emergency Assembly Point(s) on overhead map and/or Horizontal Evacuation Diagram
- Part V – Lockdown Plan: Included as approved by authority having jurisdiction
- Each plan contains 5 parts:
- The plans are organized in Duke Box by geography, function, and floor/area, if required:
- Hospital and Ambulatory Surgery areas will have area specific plans – e.g. 3200, ASC, or 5400
- All others will have a single building plan for the entire building
- Searchable by DU# and Name
- Print the document, place in designated binder, and review on a recurring basis.
