Medical Clearance

• A Health Review for Animal Handlers must be completed at the start of the job and annually thereafter.
• All primate handlers must meet the annual TB skin test requirement. Contact EOHW at 684-3136 for questions.
• All primate handlers must provide documentation of measles immunity to EOHW.

Animal Allergy Risk

Up to 1/3 of laboratory animal workers develop allergies to lab animals. See our Laboratory Animal Allergy Information Sheet for more information.

Tracking Compliance

Employees can check their safety training and employee health requirements by logging on to www.safety.duke.edu and selecting on-line training from the Training & Reports menu. Employees will need their NetID to log in to on-line training.
