Computer Ergonomics

Adjusting Your Workplace Computer Setup:

  1. Please review and make adjustments to your computer workstation setup based on 10 Steps to Safe Computing.
  2. Once you have made the adjustments, please complete the Workplace Computer Ergonomics Assessment.
  3. If you continue to have concerns, please contact your supervisor and/or your work area ergonomics coach for further assistance.
  4. If your work area does not have an ergonomics coach, please contact Duke Ergonomics to request a review of your workstation assessment. Please attach the assessment and include a photo of you working at your workstation as well as a description of the type of assistance you need.

NOTE: If you are experiencing ongoing pain or discomfort symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider for additional assistance.

Adjusting Your Remote/Home Computer Setup:

  1. Please review and make adjustments to your computer workstation setup based on 10 Steps to Safe Computing. Refer to Remote Work Information for other tips.
  2. Once you have made the adjustments, please complete the Remote Working/Laptop Ergonomics Assessment.
  3. If you continue to have concerns, please contact your supervisor and/or your work area ergonomics coach for further assistance.
  4. If your work area does not have an ergonomics coach, please contact Duke Ergonomics to request a review of your workstation assessment. Please attach the assessment and include a photo of you working at your workstation as well as a description of the type of assistance you need.
